ITINERARY NO:4 DELHI AGRA JAIPUR KUCHAMAN BIKANER JAISALMER JODHPUR MOUNT ABU UDAIPUR MUMBAI

Duration: 16 Days

Day 01:    Arrive Delhi and Transfer to the Hotel of Your Choice.

                ( Most of The International Flights Have a mid-night arrival Time In Delhi )

Day 02:    Enjoy a full day sightseeing of Old & New Delhi. Starting with Old Delhi Visiting The Cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi RAJ GHAT, The Red Fort and The Jama Mosque. Also what is a nice thing to do is to take a Rickshaw Ride and travel through the lanes and by lanes of Old Delhi, rightly called the Heart Of Old City. In the Afternoon Visit New Delhi, visiting The India Gate & Driving around the Government Buildings. The Tomb Of Humayun also called the Forerunner of the Taj Mahal, & Qutub Minar the Tall Minaret along with the First Mosque In India.

Evening one may either enjoy the Son-et-lumiere The Sound and Light Show at the Red Fort or the Indian Dances at the Parsi Anjuman Hall. ( For timings Check with your Agent or the Hotel)

Day 03:        Leave by Road or Train for Agra. ( Shatabadi Express Departs Delhi at 06:00 hours and reaches Agra at 07:55 hours) Road Travel takes appx. 4 Hours. After arrival Check in  at your Hotel. Start The sightseeing of Agra. Visit The Taj Mahal, The main Attraction which draws millions of People to India year after year and the Red Fort of Agra.

Enjoy the afternoon visiting the Various Craft Shops to take home Lovely Souvenirs, the best buy from Agra is the Marble Inlay Work, carpets & if one is interested Jewellery. 

Day 04:        Leave early Morning for Jaipur, visiting en route the Deserted City of Fatehpur Sikri, The City said to have been deserted only after 12 Years of Use due to water scarcity. Continue the trip, If you happen be A Bird watcher then Bharatpur the home in WINTER to Migratory Birds is a good Stop. Continue for JAIPUR. On Arrival Check in at Hotel. Afternoon Visit the Observatory and The City Palace. One marvels at this well Planned City dating back to 1728 A.D. 

Day 05:        In the morning drive to Amber, the Old Capital of this region, stopping en route at Hawa Mahal or the Palace of the winds. Ride on an Elephant Back to the Fort of Amber. afternoon more opportunity to Shop for Souvenirs at the Many recognized Govt. Approved Export Houses and Visit the Local Market Place also called the Bazaar.

Day 06:        Say Good bye to the Pink City and head towards the interiors of Rajasthan. Next Stop KUCHAMAN, the Village about which not much is known. Stay in The Magnificent Fort which is an Experience onto Itself. Explore the fort which is one of the best Examples of How A Fort Should be. One gets an idea of How the Maharajas lived. Very well restored and Authentic. 

Later explore the Village on Foot or Sit on a Camel and explore what this little Village has to offer.

Day 07:        Continue towards the Interior Of Rajasthan and head Towards Bikaner, A city just on the Border Of the Great Indian Desert Thar. Upon Arrival in the City Visit the Cenotaphs Of the Bikaner Royal Family, Situated 7 Kms before Modern Bikaner. 

In the Afternoon Visit the Magnificent Junagrh Fort. A Superb Example Of Architecture. The wealth stored in it has to be seen to be believed.

Day 08:        The Desert Is Calling You today. Drive To Jaisalmer, the City on the Main Silk Trade Route. The city which dates back to 12th Century. After Arrival Time to enjoy the view and Sunset from Sunset Point.

Day 09:        Drive or Walk to the citadel depending upon your Hotel. Visit the Jain Temples First as these are only opened in the morning. Enjoy the exquisite Carvings done On Sandstone. It seems like the sculptors have put life into this work. After the Jain Temples walk around to the viewing point, there are quiet a few of those & enjoy the view of the city. Later Visit the famous Havelis Namely the Salim Singh and Patwa Haveli.

It is usually a nice excursion for the Afternoon. Visit Sam Sand Dunes. Located about 40kms from Jaisalmer. This is where you get a true flavor of the Desert.

Day 10:      Depart Jaisalmer For The City called the gateway to the Desert JODHPUR. Arrive Jodhpur and in the later part of Afternoon Visit the Clock Tower Market. If there is any place where you are likely to find a true Flavor Of watching the locals buy their day to day things it is here. You can also get your Dental Work done in this market by the Roadside Dentists.

Day 11:       Morning Visit the Mehrangarh Fort. Described by Jackie Kennedy As the So called Eight Wonder Of the World. After the visit in The afternoon It is a good Idea to go for a Village Safari visiting the Bishnoi Villages. Good Insight into rural India.

Day 12:       Depart For Mount Abu. En route Visit the famous Ranakpur Jain Temples. The most exquisite is the Main Temple with 1444 Marble Pillars where no two pillars have the same Kind Of workmanship. Arrive Late Afternoon in Mount Abu. 

The rest of the day One may walk around this Hill Station very popular with the Local Indian Tourists from Rajasthan & The Neighboring State of Gujarat.

Day 13:        Visit the Dilwara Jain Temples. If Ranakpur has great Workmanship, This here is Mind Blowing. Better then The Ranakpur Temples This is the most beautiful Architecture one may Come across. 

In the Evening one may enjoy Boating at the Nakki Lake.

Day 14:         Depart For the City Of lakes Udaipur. Upon Arrival Check in. In the Afternoon Visit the Garden Called Sahelion Ki Bari. Made for the Royal Ladies, this is an excellent place to relax even Today.

Day 15:        Visit the City Palace in the Morning and enjoy this Great piece Of Architecture. In the Afternoon one may book a Boat Ride on the Pichola Lake.

One may also utilize the Afternoon for Buying the World Famous Udaipur Miniature Paintings or for Last minute Shopping of Souvenirs.

Day 16:        Depart Udaipur By Air for Mumbai. Upon Arrival Check in. many People Use this afternoon for an Orientation Drive Around Mumbai and then Leave In The Night for their Destination.
